Service knows no borders. The Rotary Club of Youngsville works with trusted partners in other countries to expand mobility, dignity, and opportunity through practical projects that create lasting impact.

Our International Service Projects

2024–2025: Supporting Wheelchair Access in Trinidad and Tobago

For our first international project, the Rotary Club of Youngsville partnered with the Rotary Club of Felicity/Charlieville in Trinidad and Tobago. Our club provided acrylic donation boxes that help our partner club raise funds to purchase wheelchairs for people in its community and on surrounding islands.

The boxes were placed into service and began collecting donations—turning a simple, practical resource into continued support for mobility and independence.

2026: Mobility and Wheelchair Support in Uganda

In partnership with OJ Disability Care Foundation Uganda, our club provided financial support for a van lift used to distribute wheelchairs throughout the region. The lift also supports the pickup and delivery of wheelchairs needing repairs.

By helping damaged chairs reach repair services and return to their owners, the project keeps vital mobility equipment working and helps more people remain independent.
